Chinese Drywall Lawsuit Deadline Issued

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum has issued a consumer advisory alerting homeowners to an opportunity to ensure their Chinese drywall claims are preserved.

The claims are against Knauf Plasterboard (Tianjin) Co, Ltd, who has agreed to accept service of a single lawsuit in Louisiana federal court.

However, homeowners with homes containing Knauf drywall must submit claims to the lead counsel in the lawsuit on or before December 2, 2009.

Affected consumers who wish to be included as plaintiffs in this litigation against Knauf must submit a completed transmittal chart and proof that their properties contain Knauf-manufactured drywall.
